research: The efficacy of econazole against recurrent candidiasis significantly improved when combined with oral or topical echinacea preparations. Additionally, researchers found that the combined therapy reduced the incidence of recurrent infections.

herbal support: When used for immune stimulation Echinacea is typically taken three times per day at dosages of 300-500 mg (powdered in a capsule or tablet) or 3-5 ml (in liquid preparations). If taken for an extended period of over eight weeks, many practitioners of herbal medicine suggest an occasional interlude of 1-2 weeks without taking the herb to optimize effectiveness.
